The Centre for Disaster Management has conducted a “Training on Role of Technology in Community Level Disaster Mitigation for Scientists & Technologists” from 20-24 August, 2018 at Kalam Hall, Indira Bhawan Complex, LBSNAA. The training programme sponsored by Department of Science &Technology, Government of India under the DST-Plan Scheme “National Programme for Training of Scientists and technologists working in government sector”. The Director, CDM and the Joint Director, LBSNAA addressed and shared their valuable inputs with the participants during Inaugural session.  Smt. Anju Bhalla, Joint Secretary, Department of Science &Technology, Government of India delivered valedictory address to the participants the training programme. The faculty members of the Academy and resource persons from various organizations participated in the five day training programme and delivered their valuable inputs to make them efficient in community level disaster mitigation. The 25 participants of the training programme represented from 8 states across India.
