The National Gender Centre, LBSNAA, in collaboration with UNICEF, organized a workshop on Early Childhood Development from 29 - 31 October, 2018. The workshop brought together 44 senior level administrators, representing 17 states and UTs. The workshop design comprised of technical sessions to set the context and understand the need and importance of investing in ECD, followed by evidence on current practices in ECD; and sharing of best practices in implementing integrated ECD programmes in several states. Finally, the participants undertook group work to discuss and plan the way forward.
The workshop ended with the participants committing to take forward the ECD agenda by preparing and implementing state-specific Convergent Action Plans in order to promote nurturing care for children.
