Inaugural Function of 27th Joint Civil-Military Program

The 27th Joint Civil-Military Program, a six-day long course got inaugurated in the Academy on 6th September in the presence of the Chief Guest  General Bipin Rawat, CDS and Secretary, Department of Military Affairs. The inaugural session was attended by the Director of the Academy  Shri Srinivas Katikithala and Joint Director Ms Radhika Rastogi. The Joint Civil MIlitary program is conducted to expose the participants to the different dimensions and threats to National Security. The welcome address was presented by the associate course coordinator Dr Anupam Talwar, and the course overview was provided by Course Coordinator Ms Disha Pannu. The Director of the Academy addressed the participants of the course highlighting the requirement of such forums where Officers from Civil and Defence Forces come together for exchanging experiences, ideas and concerns. The Inaugural address by the Chief Guest emphasised the importance of synergies of the Civil-Military interface. He stressed reminding ourselves every day that Nation comes first always, not individual services. With an extensive discussion that took place with 53 participants across 15 services with the CDS, the event ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Jt Director Ms Rasdhika Rastogi.
