co-ordinate and organise training programmes sponsored by various
Government, Non-Government and external agencies and develop training
modules in the area of Disaster Management, Science and Technology etc.
To
organise , sponsor and aid seminars , workshops, study circles, working
groups and conferences for promoting research in disaster management.
To
interact with other national and international organisations, in and
outside government, engaged in research and training in disaster
management.
To
collaborate with educational and other institutions in any part of the
World having objectives wholly or partly similar to CDM.
To
develop and conduct a diploma, masters and doctoral programme in
collaboration with any university of interest.
To
engage in provision of consultancy services in disaster management in and
outside the country.
To
establish and maintain a Documentation Centre. Journal/Books/Monograph
Publication.
To
prepare, print and publish books, papers, IEC Material on Disaster
Management. periodicals, data, exhibits, films, slides, video tapes,
circulars and engage in other literary activities dealing with Disaster
Management.
