“Hon’ble Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Former President of India, visited Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration on the conclusion of Vidhan Aur Samvidhan Maah, celebrated as a part of Ambedkar Jayanti.  As part of the Constitutional Law Seminar, he delivered a lecture on“Republican Ethic through the eyes of Dr. B R Ambedkar”. Lt. General Gurmit Singh, Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand delivered an address on “Concept of Inclusiveness under the Indian Constitution”. He dedicated two centres of excellence to the nation during his visit to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration. The first, National Centre for Law & Administration (NCLA) established to sharpen legal acumen of civil servants, raise their competencies and facilitate focussed legal education through regular training programmes, workshops & research. The second is, “District Governance and Field Administration Centre (DiG-FAC)” a holistic lab-to-land ecosystem for field practitioners. It’s a learning arena built on platform principles to enable field innovation prototyping, training in field skills, synergising district data repositories with district level challenges, utilisation of advanced data analytics & dash boarding. The centre enables Officer Trainees & young district officers to learn about district typologies & to contribute to field studies, research and analysis. The objective of the centre is to repurpose the 250 year old institution of ‘District’ into becoming a driver of economic growth. He released a publication- ‘District Level Good Governance Dashboards’. Sh.Srinivas R. Katikithala, Director, Ms Sowjanya, Joint Director & Other Senior Officer’s were present.
